Gabby Koel is rounding into form just in time. The senior won the Discus competition at the annual Holst Invitational held at Concordia (St. Paul) with a throw of 144-0. She was 10th in the same event the day before with a 126-09 showing. Jessie Juenemann placed fifth with a 137-01 effort. HU also got top five efforts in the nonscoring meet (which had athletes from the U of Minnesota and D-II and III schools)from Kiana Verdugo (hammer, 143-05) and Briana Berninghaus (5th, 200 Meters, 25.67). as well as the 4 x 400 contingent of Kristy Dellwo, Marisa Fiecke, Holly Hankins and Izzy Shafer (3rd, 4:04.41) and the 4 x 100 fourth place quartet of Anna Donkhong, Mikayla Hensch, Shafer and Dani Zwiefelhofer.

Shafer also placed sixth in the 400 Meters as did Zwiefelhofer in the Triple Jump.
