The future was on display for all to see on a spectacular Saturday at the annual HU Invite at Klas Field.
The present looked pretty good, too.
Briana Berninghaus, a freshman, had the top individual finish for the Piper women tracksters at their annual meet that draw teams from Division I, II and III to Hamline's home field. The freshman was third int he 200 Meter Dash (25.76 seconds). Â Berninghaus also teamed up with Danielle Zwiefelhofer,
Anna Donkhong (pictured) and
Izzy Shafer for a sixth place finish in the 4 x 100 relay race.Â
Jessie Juenemann was fourth in the Discus (128.08).
Kristy Dellwo claimed sixth place in the 400 Meters (1:00.11) with
Anna Futterer showing the same speed she uses next door on the soccer field for a seventh place standing in the 100 Hurdles (15.49).
Gabby Koel claimed a seventh place as well in the Shot Put (38-3 1/4).
Kathleen Miles ran of the best 5000 Meter races in HU history. In a stacked field, she placed 15th in 18:21.83
