Travis Jacobson was second and Eric Dols was fourth in the Weight Throw to highlight the first day of competition for the HU men's track/field meet at the MIAC Indoor Meet at St. Thomas. .

 Jacobson threw 16.63m and Dols did 16.05. Mitchell Maday was sixth in the same event with a 15.69m effort. Sam Gatton finished in fifth place in the High Jump (1.87 m), Isaac Krause came in sixth in the 800 Meters (1:56.99)  and James Logan was eighth in the 5000 Meters (15:34.58). The Piper quartet of Kyle Mehrhof, Frank Gustafson, Jordan Grier and Fernando Benitez finished seventh in the Distance Medley (10:38.62). 

As a team, Hamline is in seventh place with 26 points after the first day of the meet.
