The Hamline Track and Field teams weren't very hospitable on their home turf Saturday. Hamline won four individual events on the women's and men's side at the annual Meet of the UnSaintly at Klas Field -- the last dress rehearsal before the MIAC Conference meet May 13-14 in Collegeville.
Both teams had a 1-2-3-4 finish. The women ran to theirs in the 100 Hurdles with Carolyn Saulsberry topping the field followed by Gabrielle Brown, Anna Futterer and Josi Hendrickson. The men matched this feat in the Shot Put as Travis Jacobson finished first followed by Chase Duwenhoegger, Eric Dols and Mitchell Maday.Â
Gabby Koel took a pair of field events, winning the Shot Put and Discus events. Saulsberry also won the Triple Jump. The women also claimed a relay win, taking the 4 x 400 race.
Like Koel, Jacobson was a double winner, taking the Hammer Throw competition. The men also got wins from a healthy Tom Larson in the 200 Meters and Joe Matheson in the Pole Vault.
Ivannie Robertson earned a second place finish in the Shot Put and Dylan Olson did likewise in the 110 Hurdles.
The meet was unscored but that will not be the case next week when HU sends both teams out against the rest of the conference.
