The senior had another impressive day with a first, a second and a third place finish. But a lot of freshmen also turned heads with their efforts for the Hamline women's track and field team at the CSB/SJU invite held April 10 in Collegeville, Minn.

Carolyn Saulsberry -- the senior -- was  in triple form. The Minneapolis, Minn. native won the 100 Hurdles in 14.71 seconds. She came ins econd in Long Jump (17-2) and was third in the 100 Meters (12.89). Saulsberry was joined in the winner's circle by junior Gabby Koel, who threw the Discus 120-6.

A gaggle of freshmen, however, gave evidence that this team's future is bright as well. Gabrielle Brown came up with a pair of second place finishes. Brown trailed only Saulsberry in the 100 Hurdles (15.29) and was also runnerup in the 400 Hurdles (70.52). (Anna Futterer, also a freshman, was fourth in the 400 Hurdles as well.) Kathleen Miles (pictured) showed she can go the distance with her second place finish in the 5000 Meters (19:08.73).

HU also got top five efforts from Holly Hankins (4th, 1500 Meters), Kristy Dellwo (5th, 400 Meters) and Ivannie Robertson (5th, Shot Put).
