As he has done all season,
James Logan led the way for Hamline in the biggest meet of the season. The senior finished 17th in a field of 208 runners to help Hamline to sixth place finish at the MIAC Cross Country Championships held at Como Golf Course Saturday. Logan negotiated the 8K terrain in 26:49.5, just six seconds away from the Top Ten.
Sam Bell, a freshman, was the next Piper to cross, coming in 25th in 27:02.1. Fellow frosh
Fernando Benitez was 33rd in 27:11.8.
Kyle Mehrhof, a sophomore, was 41st (27:30.6) and
Tony Duchenes, also a sophomore, was the other scorer, placing 43rd (27:32.1).
The Pipers totaled 157 points, a 37 point (and one place) improvement over a year ago.

HU will compete in the Fall Finale at St. John's on Friday, November 4. The NCAA D-III Central regional is November 12 in Northfield.
