1/22/2016 9:26:00 PM

It was the next best thing to an outright win. Hamline's gymnastics team scored a season high 181.325 points and gave defending NCGA champion UW-La Crosse all they wanted before bowing 184.800-181.325 Friday at Walker Field House. Hamline came with an eye length of winning the Vault competition, falling by as tight 46.275-45.925 margin. Sela Fadness scored 9.275 to finish second, just ahead of teammate Rosie Giese, who came in at 9.250.

The Pipers also got a second in Floor Exercise when Sydney Tribbet scored 9.375, just a hundredth of a point out of first place. Fadness was fourth in that event (9.250).

Meghan Webb led the way on the Balance Beam with a third place showing and a 9.475 score while Madison Couves led a 4-5-6-7 finish on the Uneven Parallel Bars with a 9.200 score.
