Olson, Dols First Day Winners for Men's TF

Want a good way to impress your new teammates? How about winning events in your first college meet? That is exactly what freshman Dylan Olson and Eric Dols did for the Pipers men's track and field team at the St. Thomas Invitational Friday.

Olson sped to victory in the 60 Hurdles, winning in a zippy 8.65 seconds. (Junior teammate Rex Gould was third in 9.15). 

Dols unloaded the Weight Throw 50-4.50 feet to claim the win. The Prior Lake, Minn. native also was second in the Shot Put at 49-10.50. (Travis Jacobson took third with a 49-7.75 heave.)

Tom Larson started his senior season in stride with a second place finish in the 200 Meters. His time of 22.96 seconds was just .01 behind th eleader. Tom was also third in the 60 Meters (7.07). 

HU also received second place efforts from Isaac Krause in the 600 Meters and Tyler Lerbakken in the 1000 Meters. Sam Gatton was third in the 800 Meters.

The Pipers return to action January 22 in a triangular at St. Olaf.
