Hamline senior Erin Urbanowicz (pictured) bade farewell to her college career with a 16th place finish in the Hammer competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field meet in Canton, NY Friday. The Oregon native threw 165-01 -- just two feet short of a career best -- to finish ahead of six competitors in her first NCAA appearance. Her second throw was the best of her three efforts.

Carolyn Saulsberry ran a 16.7 timing and did not qualify for the finals in the 400 Meter Hurdles. The Minneapolis junior competes again Saturday in the Triple Jump. Jessica Putland, who celebrated her birthday today, will also compete in the Shot Put on Saturday.
