Using a solid mix of success on the track and in the field, Hamline's men's thinclads finished first for the third time this winter. The Pipers piled up 185.50 points, besting Gustavus Adolphus, Carleton, Luther and Augsburg to win the Meet of Hearts Invite in Northfield.
Andrew Thomas, Amani Lee and Mark Volker were the individual winners. HU also recorded six seconds and a third place standings to boost their point total.
Thomas and Isaac Krause went 1-2 in a thrilling 600 Meter race. Thomas ran it in 1:25.21, edging Krause by less than a second.
Lee, who was a close second in the High Jump, conquered all in the Triple Jump (13.33m.) Volker was a solid winner in the Pole Vault with a 4.60m effort.
Tom Larson was a close second in the 55 Meter Dash, finishing in 6.66. Other seconds included: Derrick Mora (200 Meters), DJ Cline (400 Meters), Eric Hanson (55 Hurdles) and the 4 x 400 Meter tandem of Thomas, Will Warmka, Travis Latzke and DJ Weil.
Ryan Peterson was third in the 3000 Meters.
