Colin Rogers found an unique way to get into a recordbook. The Hamline senior finished 16th at the NCAA Division III Central Region Cross Country Meet in Northfield November 16. The result was enough to earn the senior a spot at the NCAA Division III Meet in Hanover, Indiana, November 23.
Rogers, who negotiated the 8K course in Northfield in 25:32, is believed to be the first HU runner to qualify for the meet four years in a row. He also earns a place on the NCAA All-Region team.
As a team, Hamline finished 11th in the 27-team field with 339 points. Besides Rogers, two other runners -- Nathan Rock (60th, 26:41.92) and Ryan Peterson (75th, 27:02.62) -- cracked the top 100 finishers in the 181 runner field.
