The Killer B's - Courtney Benson and Kambria Blakely -- came out stinging in Hamline's season gymnastics opener Saturday. Although the Pipers dropped a 175.850-173.050 decision to UW-Oshkosh at Walker Field House, the two juniors served notice they may be a force to be dealt with this season.

Benson picked up where she left off last year, winning the All-Around honors with a score of 36.625 points. She claimed the top spot in Floor Exercise with an excellent 9.600 score. Blakely was close behind with a 9.375 score. 

The pair reversed positions in the Vault with Blakely scoring 9.375 and Benson finishing at 9.225.   In addition, Benson took third in the Balance Beam (9.100) and Uneven Parallel Bars (8.700). 

Jackie Clement had the only other top five finish for the Pipers -- coming in fourth in the Vault at 9.050.

Hamline will be in action next Friday, January 11 when they travel to UW-Eau Claire for a 6:30 p.m. meet.
